This is Pearse Connolly’s blog about the technology driven changes in the experience and business of sport. The main focus is football.
I work for the Norwegian Football Association and Norwegian League Association in a joint venture called Football Media. I’m their Director of Business Development.
I’ve gotten gradually more and more interested in this topic the more actual football I see. It’ a great game with a fantastic story to tell. With the change to digtial technologies and the arrival of mass market broadband and mobile, the fans experience of the game has and will continue to change radically. This blog hopes to convey some of those changes and communicate them in an accessible way.
The name 2stations has nothing to do with TV or Radio. For an explanation, look at a map of the train stations in central Dublin, see the two big stations on the right? My dad assures me I was named after the hereos and not the train stations.

Nice website Pearse. Being named after 2 heroes, not a bad start to life, though perhaps Jose “the Special One” would have been better.
Perhaps you should feature the 1997 youtube Tromso v Chelsea game in the Arctic Circle. It’s a classic. Go the Blues in Moscow!!

Pearse and Connolly. The two stations. Now that’s fantastic! Named after heroes or two places where millions of people pass by every day. Not bad either of them.
